In Celebration of The International Girl Child Day!
Growing up has its share of ups, downs and everything in-between; one thing that remained constant is growth!
Growth could not be avoided whether we could not wait for it or not. In retrospect, most of us as teenagers could not wait to get out of certain phases of our lives and now we are dreading getting out of some age brackets!!
In this Facebook LIVE, I talk about The fear of growth
Growth is invisible yet very visible.

Excerpts from Facebook LIVE:
-Understand that life is in phases. Be content but not complacent. While you are waiting for the next phase, what are you doing? Are you investing in yourself or staring at others work?
-Be patient with your growth. As a child there are things that you could not do because you needed to build the strength to handle that. Patience is a virtue. It is an asset and can also be a liability.
-Surround yourself with people that build you up. We become what and who we let into our life and out of our life. Remove people that tear you down. Life is too long and short to play it as a game. Live intentionally.
-Love yourself. Value yourself; Value your process.
-Identify your weakness- As a teenager, my fears were fear of making mistakes, people not liking me, fear of being ordinary, fear of growing too fast etc. When you put a face to them and can identify them when you are in a situation that is caused by it. What this does is, the problem has been identified, now let’s work through the solution.
-Allow yourself to make mistakes. Yes, please make as much mistakes as you can, you are doing your experiences a favour!
