Maria Okpeh is a Woman Doing It Afraid. There were so many reasons why she should not have continued working on her business yet she did.

Migrating from Nigeria to the US, she started her beauty business- Nia Soule Salon- from the basement of her home with 'no money' but with faith, she has built a successful salon in the suburbs of Atlanta and now currently operates multiple locations in the space of 6 years.

A single mother who did not allow stereotypes to limit her and kept on doing it afraid.

She likes to say she is just a hair stylist.

She has worked internationally with brands like 'Aunt Jackies' and ‘Texture my way' Natural Hair Care Products.She was featured on PBS's Need to Know 'Making it in America' series as a successful immigrant business in less than 3 years from the start of business.
